It starts out with the GrandSlam Latin on Saturday 31 May. 78 couples from 29 nations have entered. Of the top 25 in the WDSF World Ranking for Latin, 21 will dance here.
Participation in the GrandSlam Standard is equally impressive. 63 couples have entered; of the top 25 in Standard, 19 will dance.
The new venue of the GrandSlam Hong Kong is spectacular. The Queen Elizabeth Stadium seats approximately 3,500 in a DanceSport configuration, but all spectators are afforded stunning views of the action. Not only are they seated on steep rakns and in close proximity to the floor, they also have three giant video screens to choose from for their viewing pleasures.
