What started in August 2011 with the first videos (Viennese Waltz I – III) getting published on the WDSF DanceSport Academy YouTube channel was continued during this year’s German Open Championships in Stuttgart, GER.

With the biggest global gathering in DanceSport bringing together not only thousands of couples but their teachers and trainers too, the WDSF Education Director Natasa Ambroz seized the moment and invited some of them to share their expertise through the academy's “YouTraining DanceSport” programme.

In a studio that the GOC organisers had generously provided, some of the most acclaimed trainers in DanceSport lectured on a variety of topics in front of the cameras of the WDSF Communications team.

The acceptance that these recorded lectures find around the world has the Education Director already working on plans to expand the programme. “YouTraining DanceSport” will be developed further and new learning resources will get published on the Academy channel and – eventually – on a dedicated website at regular intervals.

Domenico Soale and Gioia Cerasoli, ITA, moved the audience in the Beethoven Hall with their farewell performance. Then they joined Presidium Member Heidi Goetz for a review of their career in a 30-minute webcast.

And afterwards they, too, made themselves available for the recording of a lecture.
