IDSF: Live From Dubai ... 28/04/2010

The President and First Vice-President of the International DanceSport Federation, Carlos Freitag and Lukas Hinder, are currently attending the SportAccord Convention in Dubai, UAE. A series of meetings have taken place here since Monay, 26 April, where both played key roles in the development of sports in general.

Lukas Hinder was elected to a fourth term as Treasurer by the Annual General Meeting of the International World Games Association.

Carlos Freitag was able to outline a new communications strategy to the delegates of the Association of IOC Recognised International Sports Federations, an organisation in which he serves as Vice-President since 2009.

Both of them presented their concept and vision of the “Games of the Artistic Sports” to the first meeting of a SportAccord working group involving air sports, cycling, gymnastics, roller sports, swimming, wushu, etc.

Furthermore, president Freitag was interviewed by Denmark – Sports+Events on the digital strategy of IDSF. His remarks concerning the DanceSport channel on YouTube coincided with one of the latter’s stellar moments: the clip of the new IDSF World Youth Champions in Latin (click here!) was viewed a record 30,000 times in 48 hours.
