Italian Championships 11/07/2018

SPORTDANCE 2018 Rimini © FIDS In excess of 20,000 dancers will ultimately register for the eleventh edition of the Italian DanceSport Championships held at the Rimini Fair from 5 through 15 July 2018. While several other open national championships market themselves as big and well attended, the Italian DanceSport Championships held by the Italian DanceSport Federation FIDS are the ones that top the lists by absolute standards.

No other event - not the GOC, not the ROC, nor any of the other mega-championships we know of - comes close to such a participation figure. To achieve it - together with a cumulative audience figure of 200,000 - an organisation must take the inclusive approach to DanceSport. The Italian DanceSport Federation does just that, recognising that DanceSport is made up of 30 different disciplines and a total of 53 events.

Check out the live signal that comes out of the "Blue Pavilion" at the Rimini Fair. Watch at the bottom of the page!
