Italian People Love DanceSport 12/06/2016

Roberto Fabbricini and Lukas Hinder An official address by the Secretary General of the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) provides a welcome interlude to the many items on the agenda of the 2016 WDSF General Meeting in Rome, ITA.

Speaking to the delegates for about ten minutes, Roberto Fabbricini praised DanceSport and commended the national and world governing bodies for their work in promoting it. Fabbricini emphasised the societal role of DanceSport in Italy, "Italian people, young people and the media love you."

Stopping short of naming DanceSport outright as one of the sports considered by the Rome 2024 Bidding Committee for inclusion into the Olympic Games should they be awarded to the Italian capital, Fabbricini told the delegates that CONI "is very attentive to your world."
