Judging System 2.0 30/10/2013

Judging System 2.0 The World DanceSport Federation and Olav Groehn, the author of the code for Judging System 2.0, choose an open-source approach to continue with the system’s development and to promote it globally.

After it has been used successfully in the ten GrandSlam competitions as well as in The World Games in Cali and in the WDSF World DanceSport Games in Kaohsiung, Judging System 2.0 has certainly passed its test of fire during 2013.

A first announcement regarding the system was made right here on 25 February. Athletes and adjudicators alike immediately started to signal their approval, and when it was used for the first time on 30 March in the GrandSlam Cambrils, it received the acclaim of spectators and media too.

Open Source The system will henceforth be available for use by the worldwide DanceSport community – as well as for its continued development and optimisation – on an open-source basis. With this announcement we take the opportunity to provide you with another in-depth look at 2.0. And we will introduce you to the people behind its development.

Stay tuned!
