Still Calibrating 09/01/2017

Marius-Andrei Balan - Khrystyna Moshenska, GER It's not just the Championships and GrandSlams that are ajudicated with the Judging System 2.1 (JUDSYS) this year, all World Opens will also be assessed with JUDSYS.

The first results are in and those of the two Madrid World Opens are among them. Even though the panel judging the World Open Standard on Saturday and that for the World Open Latin on Sunday differed in five (out of 12) adjudicators only, the winning totals for the two finals seem very far apart: 10 points.

Standard winners Evaldas Sodeika - Ieva Zukauskaite, LTU, scored only the Quickstep with a 9.0 average per Component, Latin winners Marius-Andrei Balan - Khrystyna Moshenska, GER, came relatively close to a 9.5 average per Component in all five dances of the final.
