WDSF Identity Card 22/06/2012

WDSF Athlete's ID Card

A number of things need to be pointed out prior to encouraging dancers everywhere to submit their applications for the WDSF Athlete's Identity Card.

The introduction of these ID cards aims to make the administration of the WDSF competition system more manageable and efficient for all parties involved. You included!

How many times have you, the athlete, found yourself saying "Not again! I have done this last month already!", as you were registering and checking in for a competition sanctioned by WDSF?

On even more occasions, you may have wondered why your name was spelled incorrectly in the official results of a WDSF competition, or why you have not been credited with the appropriate ranking points for the latter.

Well, the one overriding purpose of these cards is to do away with all of the above. And with a view to the not too distant future, they could bring about even more improvements to other competition-related processes as well.

Find out more about the WDSF Athletes' Identity Card on the dedicated secure section of this site, through which you will then be able to submit your application too.

Over the coming days we will inform you at great length about the process for applying, about the applicable privacy and data protection laws, and we endeavour to do away with any type of "Orwellian" fears you might have in the context.

Stay tuned!
