World Baton Twirling Championships 31/07/2012

World Baton Twirling Championships The World Baton Twirling Federation (WBTF), WDSF Associate Member since 2011, stages its 2012 World Championships from 1 to 5 August in Villebon-sur-Yvette, FRA. The biennial event brings together nearly 1,000 athletes from around the world to compete for titles in men's and women's freestyle, pair and team events.

Prior to the Opening Ceremony on 1 August, the WBTF schedules an informative presentation of the Anti-Doping Programme for the benefit of athletes and officials. Since it has become an Associate Member, baton twirling's world governing body subscribes to the WDSF Anti-Doping Code.

Competition in the freestyle events starts tomorrow, 2 August, at 09:00 CEST; the team finals are scheduled between 16:00 and 17:00 on Sunday. A live stream of all competitions is available on a pay-per-view basis at https://www.batonbiz.com/
