2018 World Cup Latin Champions 09/09/2018

Umberto Gaudino - Louise Heise, DEN © Roland Umberto Gaudino and Louise Heise, DEN, obtained their best result of the year, maybe even of their career, by taking first in the 2018 World Cup Latin danced in Chengdu, CHN. They had struggled with making finals in major competition ever since the GrandSlam Helsinki in March, but the one on 9 September they made rather convincingly and went on to win it by a "landslide" of aslmost five points.

Runners-up were Konstantin Gorodilov - Dominika Bergmannova, EST, and Anton Aldaev - Natalia Polukhina, RUS. The two couples were separated by two decimal points in second and in third place - in the above order.
