The first weekend of November will be filled with DanceSport from all over Europe.

The younger generation has their World Championship in Junior 2 Standard on Saturday in Sibiu, Romania, part of the Transylvanian Grand Prix.  There are 69 young couples from 42 countries registered, dazzling us on the dance floor. None of the finalists of 2017 are present, since they have all moved on to Youth, which means there will be new names on the podium. On Sunday in Sibiu, the World Championships continue with Senior 1 10-dance. There are 26 couples from 17 countries participating, including all medallists of 2017. It will be an interesting competition. Will there be new names on the podium? We will just have to wait and see.

Both Championships in Sibiu have their first rounds at 12:45 local time, which is 11:45 CET. There will be a multi-camera stream in Full HD image and sound quality available from Transylvanian Grand Prix and WDSF World Championship Junior 2 STD and WDSF World Championship Senior 1 10-dance. We will provide the link on this website and WDSF Social Media later.

In Vila Nova de Famalicao, Portugal there will be a Professional Division World Championship 10-dance on Saturday 3rd. There are 19 couples from 14 countries participating, including the reigning champions Bjorn Bitsch and Ashli Williamson from Denmark. The first round will begin with Standard at 17:00 local time, which is 18:00 CET. The final round is estimated to begin at 22:10 local time (23:10 CET) with Standard, and the prize presentation is scheduled at 23:30 local time (00:30 CET). We will provide a link also to this event in later posts.

WDSF Metu Open from Ankara, Turkey will also be streamed on Saturday and Sunday. There are 70 couples from 26 countries competing World Open Latin on Sunday, including 8-9 star couples. The draft broadcast timetable of the event is on Saturday with multi-camera from 16:00 to 19:00 CET, and on Sunday at 17:00-21:00 CET. The link to the stream will follow.

Let’s not forget the World Championship Senior 2 10-dance in Wroclaw Poland, or the European Championships in Show Dance Latin and Standard, and European Cup 10-dance in Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic! There might not be a stream available, but if there is, we will let you know!

Such a busy weekend in DanceSport. And that’s the way we like it!
