Timisoara - all the glory for the young adults! 23/10/2018

Rednic - Lucaciu Victory

Nothing could have shimmered any of the glory of the World Championship competition at Constantin Jude Sports Hall in Timisoara, Romania. All the world´s best under 21 standard dancers were there, competing in maybe one of their main events of the year.

Many of the member federations organize championships for Under 21 category, and it was clearly seen in last weekend´s competition in Timisoara, that this is a needed and appreciated age group. Not anymore in youth – already adults – but still on their way to reach the top ranking, and yet having a possibility to have their skills measured within a group which consists of same aged young dancers.

After the 5th and final round we had the standing: gold medalists Rednic Paul – Lucaciu Roxana (ROU) polished their silver from last year, and they did it with pretty clear scores. These future stars are clearing their way through World Opens (being close or in finals) and Grand Slams (knocking the door for quarterfinals). And what would have been more glorious that winning the title in front of their home audience! Surely they had their family and fans in the audience cheering for them!

Silver medal was given to Marco Bodini – Kristina Charitonovaite (ITA) and bronze to another Romanian couple Stan Tiberiu-Florin – Grigore Daria. The fight between the latter two was a lot tighter, however the differences in tango and quickstep made the result to support the Italians.

We congratulate all the young and talented!
